    The Caithness Biodiversity Group is hosting a presentation by Mark Hancock of RSPB Scotland featuring the rare Common Scoter. The Group AGM will folow afterwards.

    This rare breeding duck, the Common Scoter, has its UK stronghold in the Flow Country of Caithness & Sutherland but is in decline nationally. Mark Hancock, RSPB researcher led a team on a three year study of their remote loch habitat, including invertebrate fauna, food supply and fish populations.
