    Jenny Geddes was supposed to have thrown a stool (wooden, that is!), at the Dean of Edinburgh, James Hannay at St Giles Cathedral in 1637. It centred around the Anglicisation of worship being introduced in Scotland and the opposition to the first public use of the Anglican 'Book of Common Prayer.'
