garage conversion

Hi,wondering if anybody has had their garage converted into a room?? Thinking of getting it done as could do with extra space.Looking for any advice or reccomendations from anyone that has done this please.

We thought of this but wanted to change it into a bedroom bearing in mind that all of the other bedrooms are at the other end of the house we decided to keep it as a garage and apply for planning for an extension next to the other bedrooms.

Just bear in mind the layout of your house if you ever try and sell it also is it worth more with a garage or an extra room?

i used to live i a converted garage, it was no big deal we just took the car out and put in a paraffin heater.

yes we had ours converted into a general storage/dumping room.... It also doubles up as a workshop and the family also think that they have shares in the garage and leave unfinished cars in it for weeks/months at a time
