'' Mummy Wheat Caithness.—We observed the other day, says the Inverness Advertiser, in the garden of Forse, a small plot of ground planted with this grain. seed yields, we believe, more than thousand returns. We may have some idea its prolific nature from the fact that it requires to be sown the rate of two seeds to every three square feet. It was truly srange to see this plant, the offspring of a grain which, perhaps, formed an item in one of Joseph's granaries 3000 years ago, now flourishing in this northern clime, in all the vigour of youth, and notwithstanding the lateness of the season when put into the ground, likely to come to maturity.
