All the high activity levels were around lunchtime!

There is currently a KP 6 storm, been active since around lunchtime so should the cloud clear, which isnt likely looking at the satellite image sequence although there does look to be a few clearer patches but they wont be over caithness until probably around midnight, then there should be a good aurora display as darkness approaches, the aurora oval is moving closer to us over the next several hours.
There's also a CME,coronal mass ejection from the sun which is due to hit the earth this evening which could prolong or even intensify the storm that is already in progress.

They can sometimes fizzle out very quickly, other times they can go on all night. Check http://spaceweather.com/ for latest updates.
