Wick pub boss warned over underage customer
Stewards were distracted as teenager was smuggled in
A WICK pub boss has been formally warned by Highland licensing chiefs after a 15-year old boy “sneaked” into the premises, according to North of Scotland Newspapers website today.
The teenager was caught by officers who visited the Camps Bar, last September, and proprietor Callum Reid was reported to the Highland Licensing Board which discussed the incident earlier this week.
Members were told that a female distracted one of the door stewards while a group of people, shielding the underage youth gained entry. The procurator fiscal decided to take no action after investigating the matter and the licensing board decided that a formal warning to Mr Reid would be sufficient.
