    Default Dog Training/Obedience classes

Does anyone know of any dog training classes going on at the moment? A while ago,I did have a couple of phone nos. from the Pet shop and Vets, but seem to have mislaid them. Our 4yr old black lab needs a bit of socialising and obedience training! He has a wonderful nature, which is common of this breed, and also understands a variety of commands. But it is when he is tearing around the beach, it would be nice to know that he will come back the first time you call him, and not in his own time when he is ready!! It is so much more pleasurable to take a well trained, socialised dog out for a walk, rather than an animal who is considered a nuisance, generally through no fault of his own.

I agree, I have two mad springers who could do with some training. I would love to take them to classes.

Try the contacts int he Caithness Canine Club. They are likely to know most of the folk doing training in the county.

Thanks for your helpful link Bill.
On Tues 18th Jan the Canine Club are having an 'open evening' in the Assembly Rooms, Wick, to see how many people, and their dogs , are interested in attending obedience classes. Where, and when will have to be decided, but anyone will be welcome on the 18th Jan, 8-9pm.to find out more.
