    Default Crashing pc!

    Hi
My mate has a pc that worked fine until he installed a new graphics card.
It still works OK until he plugs in his memory stick, then it freezes big time and only works again after restarting. Again the stick (USB2) used to work fine too.
    Any suggestions?
    Thanks
    Dave

If it has only started to happen since he installed the graphics card then it sounds like an incompatibility with the graphics card and the USB ports.

First thing to try is remove the graphics card (and put the machine back to the state it was in before he installed it) and try the USB stick then. If it works without problems then it's the graphics card that's at fault.

With the new graphics card in, does the machine freeze if he plugs anything else into the USB port - if not what else is plugged into the USB ports?

When he restarts it does the USB stick work then or does it freeze again? What happens if he boots the machine with the USB stick plugged in?
