Veggie Burgers
Forget horrible frozen veggie burgers and try this. My OH said these are better than any meat burger and she's not easily impressed with veggie stuff.
Porridge oats 100g/4oz
Flour (plain or wholemeal preferably) 75g/3oz
4 grated carrots
grated cheese 50g/2oz
1 finely chopped onion
tomato puree 2 tbsp
soy sauce 1 tbsp
sage and basil 1 tsp each
salt and pepper 1 tsp
1 beaten egg
Mix all ingredients thoroughly together and form into patties or preferably use a burger maker (as sold in Serendipity).
Fry for 5 minutes
