    Default Brambling

A single male has been visiting the garden daily over the last week. According to the RSPB website they winter all over the UK except far north.

    Any others seen?

I have seen a few in the garden over the years but none this year so far.
God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change,
Courage to change the things I can,
And wisdom to know the difference.

Had a couple in the garden a while back when we had the snow, but we had regular visits last year. Lovely birds.

Its the recorded numbers they go on ...so the more that record them the better their data!

There are quite a few species they say are not resident in the far north,Goldfinches being one of them.
I usually have at least half a dozen flying around the feeders but the most i've had at one time was 25 today.

Havent come across any Bramblings this winter so far but usually see some every year.
