You like the old malts but can't afford them? There are chemicals in vanilla extract that is also formed when a whisky ages in the barrels. Try adding a few drops of vanilla extract to a young whisky and it will taste more well bodied like an aged whisky. Be careful not to add too much or the whisky will smell of vanilla.
