    Hi.
Pictures below were my first attempts on astrophotography without telescope - just camera on fixed tripod (10£ from Tesco).
All pictures were taken with Canon 1000D and 18-55mm kit lens.

For all pictures setings were the same: ISO 1600, f/3.5 and 30s. exposure.
All pictures were taken at 26/02/2011 on moonless and cloudless night.

Fabulous photos Maciek. You've captured lots of stars with interesting foregrounds. Especially like the "Close Encounters of the Third Kind" style lighting in the last one.

[Is the streak below M31 in the last one a meteor or satellite?]

    Thanks astroman.

I am not sure what it was as I have only taken one frame, but I think it is satelite because it has the same brightness at whole streak length.
I have catched three meteors in the past and all of them always have had brighter spot. But it also could be a very faint meteor.

This one below is my best shot of meteor so far. It was taken at 27 July 2011 and I belive it is meteor from Delta Aquarids meteor shower.

    Regards
    Maciek
