Good opportunities for workforce at Aberdeen and Wester

OIL engineering group Subsea 7 which owns the Wester fabrication yard has announced a jump in its turnover in the three quarter of the year and has expressed its confidence in the future.
UK vice-president, Steph McNeill said: “Our UK and North Sea business continues to be a key contributor to the overall Subsea 7 performance.”
He added: “We are well placed to take our share of future work and, as a result, offer our people in Aberdeen and Wester opportunities for personal and professional development.”
Turnover was £894 million in the three months to September 30, up from £309m in a comparable period last year. Pre-tax profits came in at £151 million in the latest quarter, up from £55m last time.
Subsea 7 said it had enjoyed good vessel utilisation in the North Sea during the most recent period and it expected margins to improve year-on-year.
