Driver alleged to have been over the limit

A THURSO teenager is facing a series of charges, most road traffic allegations.
Eighteen-year-old Maxwell Tuck, pleaded not guilty when he appeared from custody at Wick Sheriff Court today and had his trial fixed for December 7.
The charges allege that Tuck, of Park Avenue, Thurso, drove carelessly, with excess alcohol and had no insurance or test certificate and, as an unsupervised driver had no insurance. He also denies behaving in a disorderly manner towards police officers, and breaking free and running away from them.
In addition he has pleaded not guilty to failing to identify the driver of his car.
The offences occurred in Claredon Place and elsewhere in the town yesterday.
