Default Can anyone tell the name of the artist on this painting?

The wife is curious to know the artist of this painting that was handed down from her granny.

I think it's a German name but not too sure. Any help on this would be grateful.

    Gunther Heinzel?
God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change,
Courage to change the things I can,
And wisdom to know the difference.

I'm going to take a pic of the full painting and put it on here, to see if anyone knows anything about this painting. My wife has informed me that It's at least 50 years old.

I've found two paintings by the same man for auction - sadly not much info unless you subscribe to the sites, but interesting nonetheless. The first link has a photo of the painting, the second doesn't. In the photo, if you enlarge it you can see the signature is the same as on your painting so it's definitely the same artist. Good luck finding out more!

It looks like a Gunther Hanzel late 19th or early 20th century and I am fairly sure there is one in the National Gallery in London. Very little on the net about him or any ref books but he sticks in my mind because of his name. He was famous for his landscapes/seascapes and his fine detail work in them. Would be worth getting it valued ... good luck.
