Accused of throwing chairs in pub
A PAPIGOE man is alleged to have thrown three chairs at a pub employee who asked him to leave the premises.
Martin Ewart (28) denies charges of assault, disorderly conduct and having a quantity of herbal cannabis in his possession.
The incidents are alleged to have occurred in Wetherspoon’s Wick, on September 4.
Ewart, of Pilot Row, Papigoe, had his trial fixed for November 22.
Denies thefts
Paul Crossley has been accused of committing thefts in Thurso.
He denied the charge and had trial fixed for November 22. It alleges he broke into a neighbour’s flat in Ormlie Road, Thurso, on September 2, and stole a television set, a CD player and an amplifier.
Crossley (29) was granted bail.
Headbutting and spitting alleged
A WICK teenager is to stand trial on charges of police assault.
Peter O’ Hare is alleged to have attempted to head butt, Constable Scott MacColl, at Thurso police station, on September 3, and spitting on Sgt Nick Clasper.
O’ Hare, of Bridge Street, Wick, will return to court for his trial on November 22.
