I have read in number of places online (so it must be true then! ) that something like 85% of Americans no longer believe that they are being told the whole truth about the events of September 2001.

Is that tosh or actually representative of what people think over there?

I don't believe 85% of what the government tells us about anything, including 9/11.

Considering governments can't keep anything secret I'm pretty confident there are no shadowy conspiracies or reptilian aliens running the planet. I mean okay you could make the argument that those other leaks and scandals are staged to created that impression, but that's unlikely and suffers from the same failings. What the heck. Americans still don't want to believe the events of what happened before, during, and after WW2. They can be told the truth but many don't want to know the truth or at least believe the truth.

I'm curious... In your opinion, which Americans' don't believe those events? Americans in general? or Skinheads and the like? or who? As with all history, unless one was actually there for the experience, one can only know what one reads or is told.
