Whats all with the remakes?

Seems as though film makers are finding it harder to make something original, with all the the remakes this last while.

Apparently since March 2011 there was 75 remakes in the works.

Here is just a little list of some films to be or are remade.

The Warriors
Total Recall
Godzilla
Fright Night
Evil Dead
Conan Barbarian
RoboCop

The list goes on

How long before films get the X Factor / Britains Not Got Talent type treatment? 18 months of fly on the wall auditions followed by "Movie Academy" before the film finally comes out?

Maybe the film industry have been taking their cue from the record industry - Not much original being produced there either, but to be expected when the folk graduating from X Factor are nothing more than talentless singers who cant play any instruments or compose anything original!

I really hate to think what more crap will be on the telly in 10 years time. I honestly have to say the last 7 years or so have gone downhill fast.

We used to think it was only American TV that was like that! Alas, the same happens here now too...
