Heartless thieves steal from retired gamekeeper after his death

THOUGHTLESS thieves plundered the home of a retired Caithness gamekeeper days after he died.
Sixty-four-year-old Alan Brooks was discovered in the living room of his chalet home at Forss, on July 20. He had suffered a heart attack. The alarm was raised by staff at Tesco, Thurso, who had not seen Mr Brooks, a regular customer, and the police were informed.
It was then discovered that his home had been broken into and several items, including a television set, a satellite box a wallet fishing year, even Mr Brooks’ passport, had been stolen.
His family said it was a double blow following his death and described the thefts as “despicable”.
