A serious contender for their Image of the Week.

Be on the lookout on Thursday night/early Friday morning. There is a CME,coronal mass ejection from the sun heading our way
and is currently expected to hit the earth's magnetic field around midnight Thursday 22nd, give or take a couple of hours either way.
It wont be as spectacular a display as bcsmans photo because it was rated KP 8 on the Aurora scale which goes up to 9.
Probably be no more than a 5 which would still put on a few dancing beams of light.Just have to wait and see but there will be numerous displays over
the winter, thats guaranteed, whether the skies are clear or not is another matter.
