Man threatened police officers

A SHERIFF has called for reports on a Wick man who disobeyed a court order and threatened police.
Stephen Stewart (43) appeared from custody at the town’s sheriff court, today, and admitted the offences.
The order, imposed at Inverness Sheriff Court earlier this year, prohibited him from being alone with a female adult in residential accommodation, without prior police permission.
The court was told that officers found him with a 40-year-old female in Kennedy Terrace, Wick, on July 9. He said he had gone to the house to recover money owed to him. Later at the local police station, he threatened to "slit the throats of officers" and "choke them to death".
Sentence on Stewart (43) who was out on licence from prison and had it revoked because of the current offences, was deferred until August 19, for social inquiry, community service and restriction of liberty reports.
Stewart previously resided in Argyle Square, Wick.
