Thurso Gala - 6th - 14th August

Thurso Gala will once again be upon us.

There is so much going on

Sat, 6^th
The Parade, fancy dress competitions – young and old, Dancers, Pipe band, Gaelic Choir and Stall/Tables in the precinct after

Sun, 7^th
Beach party - with all sorts from music by the Big Band, water demos, dog show, Primary schools and their electric cars and of course the Strongman Competition

Mon, 8^th
Museum activities in Caithness Horizons and at night in Mount Pleasant School - Youth Show Case - was at it last year for the first time and have to say I have a fantastic time watching all the kids showing off their talents and have to say some were exceptional.

Tues, 9^th
Teddy Bear Picnic and at night in the Legion Family Bingo

Wed, 10^th
Messy Play, Museum activities, and in the evening a 3k fun run/walk followed by Pub Entertainment in the Comm Bar.

Thurs, 11^th
Museum activities and in the evening an Adult Quiz Night

Fri, 12^th
A visit to the Police Station and then in the evening a Ceilidh in the Legion

Sat, 13^th
Coffee Morning in the Legion and in the afternoon, Fun at the Boating Pond. Then in the evening a Fishing competition on the beach and Pub Entertainment at the Holborn Hotel.

Sun, 14^th
To round off a busy week, in the Dammies, under 11 football, It’s a Knockout, Baby Show, Archery, Car Boot Sale and other events.

And then the kiddy's go back to school .
