    Default Chasing the Sun

James Ross, the Wick pianist, has just released a recording of "Chasing the Sun",which was composed for the 2008 Blas Festival and then performed at Celtic Connections in 2009.James is supported by piper/sax-player Fraser Fifield and Mr McFall's Chamber on strings. It just came into Coda in Edinburgh yesterday,so I've only listened through a couple of times, but it sounds pretty impressive so far,and the title track is one of the bonniest tunes I've heard in a while. The cover photos are landscapes by Catriona Murray and are pretty good too! It's out on James' own Trinkie label(once a Weeker, alwys a Weeker...) and I don't know if he's sorted a distributor out yet,but well worth a listen.
