Man flown south after three-vehicle collision

POLICE are currently dealing with a serious three vehicle road traffic collision on the A9 at Mybster in Caithness.
The collision happened at around 0842 this morning and emergency services are in attendance. The A9 is expected to be closed for some time.
The collision involved two cars and a Royal Mail lorry. The male occupants of the lorry were not injured, neither was the single female occupant of one of the cars, however, a man in the third vehicle has been seriously injured and is being taken by air ambulance to Raigmore Hospital, Inverness.
Local diversions are in place and LGV's are requested to take an alternative route via Wick. Drivers are thanked for their patience during this incident.
