    Default Siskins

Is any one else getting an invasion of them at the moment?
It's been great watching them on the peanut feeder, up to 7 at a time with more waiting in a not so orderly queue!

Yes, there are a lot about just now. Last year they mainly appeared in late May, so they seem to be slightly later this year.

We have a plethora of sparrows at the moment (lots of wing-wiggling fledglings- very cute) but they seem to have chased all the siskins, chaffinches, tits, goldfinches etc away.

I also noticed that they appeared a bit later than last year. I haven't seen as many as I hoped though!

I saw quite a few about Eriboll last week coming to a feeder at a cafe.
