Thread: copy pics onto CD or DVD

Default copy pics onto CD or DVD

I am needing a little help copying photos onto CD's or DVD's then being able to go back to them and edit it or write something under the picture. Is there anyone that could come to the house and show me what to do.

the problem with CDs and DVDs is that they are generally read only for files saved to them. ie you can write a file to the disc but you can not then alter that file so it would not be possible to do any editing of your pictures once they are saved to the CD or DVD. You could, if the disc is not finalised edit the pic and resave it under another name but sometimes it can be a problem accessing files on a disc which has not been finalised. In theory re-writable discs should be able to do what you want but in practice this is not successful.
In short the only way would be to save the pics to a CD or DVD and if you want to make changes, open the pics you want to edit, do your editing and save these to another disc.

Or you could invest in an external hard drive. That's what I've done.
