    Default Pinemartin

Spotted one of these for the first time in years on Sunday and it was middle of the day. It crossed the road between two groups of trees and then was gone.

In Caithness about five miles from the coast, and that's as much as I'm saying. I have seen them in the same place many times, but not for the last four or five years, but very nice to see one again.

I saw one cross the road while I was waiting for the school bus to pick up the kids about 2 weeks ago. It then ran around a field for a bit before disappearing into a hedge. All the books say that pine martins are shy and noctural but I had one run past my sawmill (when in use!), only about 15ft away on a sunny afternoon. It had a good old nose at us when it went passed as well!
