    Default Tall ships.

Does any one know if there will be any organised cruises or charters from Scrabster when The Tall Ships come through The Pentland Firth in July en route from Ullapool to Kirkwall or when they do the race from Kirkwall to Stromness?

    Hi Lizz

Northlink are operating an altered timetable that day. Depart and arrive 30 minutes early on the first 2 sailings.

    Middle 2 sailings as normal.

Depart and arrive one hour late on the last 2 sailings.

I believe this is to enable people from the Caithness side to see the start and finish of the Kirkwall to Stromness race.

If you go on the Northlink website and click on timetables you will see the revised schedule for that day.

Hope this is of some help.

Just had a look at Orkney Harbours web site and it states that only 3-5 vessels are expected to take part in the Kirkwall - Stromness cruise (Not race) on the 16th July

Thanks for all the info so far, would love to be out at sea and see them under full sail so hopefully there will be some one who is taking a boat out.
