Man to stand trial in August

A THURSO man is to stand trial on charges of vandalism and disorderly behaviour.
Andrew Hossack (36) pleaded not guilty when he appeared from custody at Wick Sheriff Court today.
The charges allege he behaved in a threatening or abusive manner, between Monday and Tuesday, put his hands through the letterbox of a house in Shore Street, Thurso, and knocking on the door and a window.
Hossack, of Royal Terrace, Thurso, also denies scratching two cars in the same street.
He was granted conditional bail and will return to court for his trial, on August 16.
