Executive committee to interview four

THE Highland League’s most northerly club, Wick Academy, who are seeking a new manager following the resignation of their two-man co-management team have drawn up a short leet of four.
The quartet, a mix of local and Highland applicants, will be interviewed next week.
However, Academy chairman, Colin Stewart, said the executive committee, which met last night, would be taking its time to ensure they made the right choice and he predicted that there would probably be “a few twists and turns” before the final selection. However, the club intends to have the new manager in place before the end of the season.
The post became vacant after Richard Hughes and Ian Munro bowed out last month, after a poor season, saying that they had taken the team as far as they could, and it was time for new blood with fresh ideas and impetus. The pair have said they will stay on until the changeover.
