    Default North Sutherland sea tragedy

    Boat tragedy victim named

    ONE man has died and other was rescued in a fishing boat accident off North Sutherland.
    Emergency services converged on Talmine early this morning following reports of two men in the sea.
    One of them was pronounced dead at the scene. He was named this afternoon as 50-year-old Orkney fisherman, David Cooper, from Stenness. The other man was rescued from Tongue Bay and taken to Caithness General Hospital at Wick for treatment.
    Police, coastguards and Thurso lifeboat were involved in the incident. A report will be submitted to the procurator fiscal at Dornoch but police say there does not appear to be any suspicious circumstances
