Default How do I set up a website for a group?

Don't know if I have posted this in the correct place! I would like to set up a website for our local group and maintain it. Is this possible and if so how do I go about it? I have been told that maybe what I need is a host and then I can do what I wish. Help please. Thanks

You'll need a host, there are millions of them on the internet. You'll need one to suit what you need.

If you get a easy website builder package it should be right enough to use.

Else, you'll need some sort of FTP uploading software to add things to your website.

PM me if you have any more questions

You could have a go with yahoo groups. they are simple to set up and simple to run, give you a message board, photo space, links section and all sorts of other things. I think they are well worth a look!!

I'd recommend 123-reg.co.uk also for domains names and hosting and they have web builder tools too.

I bought my domain through 123-reg.co.uk, all I need to do now is get around to building a website.

Do a google search for free web templates (cheating) and there are loads of sites that will allow you to download the whole thing for free. lots of different themes e.g. business, sports etc.

    a good example is http://www.freewebtemplates.com/

If you are interested in paid services I would be more than happy to give you a quote and can provide free hosting.
The website can be done with a content management system or just simple code.
