Daffodil county
Beside the road, along the stream.
Yellow bright they gleam.
Heads dancing in the breeze
Like golden waves upon the seas.
Far from house and croft they grow.
Who planted them we'll never know.
But they are there for all to see,
Clustered round the greening tree.
And every Spring in swathes of gold
They lift their flowers bold.
Like stars that shine at night
They are a wondrous sight.

Lovely poem; I could really see the daffodils. Being Welsh I love this time of year as I'm reminded of home everywhere!

That was beautiful, thank you Lizz. You painted a good picture.
