    Default Barnacle geese.

How common are they in the county or do we just see them as a passage birds?
Was surprised today to see a small number mixed in with the greylags between Dounreay and Forss today, presume they are waiting to move further north when weather conditions permit.

Not uncommon Lizz, particularly in the Autumn and a few often stay with grey geeese. There is a regular wintering flock on South Walls, Orkney

    Pterodroma
