Wick man cleared of breach of the peace
FOUND NOT GUILTY OF SHOUTING AND SWEARING
A WICK man, accused of a breach of the peace at the local Tesco filling station, was found not guilty, following a trial at the town’s sheriff court today.
Steven Harper, 28, of Ashley Court, Wick, had pleaded not guilty to shouting and swearing at Peter Bodek from Scrabster. The offence was alleged to have occurred at the petrol pumps, on May 28, last year.
Sheriff Andrew Berry referred to discrepancies in the evidence and added that he was not satisfied beyond reasonable doubt, that Harper had committed the offence.
