Three in court on petition
Released on bail after private appearances
TWO Caithness men are facing charges of assault and theft and attempting to defeat the ends of justice.
Angus Cormack, 23, from Lybster and Stefan Sutherland, 22, of Occumster, made no plea or declaration when they appeared in private at Wick Sheriff Court today. The offences are alleged to have occurred in Wick on Sunday.
Both men were released on bail by Sheriff Andrew Berry pending further investigation
In a separate case, also heard in private Louis William Elford Cannop, 51, from Thurso, was accused of a serious assault on a woman in the town, on November 17, last year.
He made no plea or declaration and was released on bail pending further inquiry.
