    Default Windows 7 64 bit says 256 bit

    I am ruuning on Windows 7 64 bit, but when i click on the help about Windows Explorer, it says Cipher strength 256 bit.

    Why is this?
    When i have a 64 bit laptop.
    You don't have to be mad to know me but it helps.

    Presumably that's the level of encryption it's using for something called SSL. Check here and here

    Which is something entirely different from processor bits.
