    Has anyone got a decent fudge recipe. In all my previous attempts it has never set and ends up as fudge sauce! (I do boil it to correct temp).

    a good beating does the trick, usually. But dont overbeat as can be difficult to remove from the pan. Happy beating.

    Hi! neepnipper mine is actually swiss milk tablet and it is delicious.
    2lbs sugar(1kg)
    1 tin condensed milk
    1/4 lb butter or marg
    1/4 pint milk (5 fluid ounces)
    2 teaspoons of vanilla essence
    1)melt butter and sugar in milk, then bring to the boil slowly,once it's reached boiling point quickly boil for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
    2) Add condensed milk and stirring carefully boil until a little hardens(when you drop it off a teaspoon into cold water)
    3) add the vanilla essence and stir well.
    4) remove from heat and beat continully until it thickens.
    pour into a well greased tin and allow to set before marking into squares.
