Cool Strange Collection of Shiny Rocks

    Can anyone advise?

Last summer I came across a small collection of little shiny rocks in a cluster in the garden, not quite on the ground but on a flat stone lying on the ground. It included bits of quartz and old broken crockery. I know that Jackdaws collect shiny bits but this was not in a nest and no Jackdaws have ever been seen in this part of garden.

    Any ideas?
