Thanks for reminding us Davem; and to anyone who has never been to this annual show, rest assured that you will have a great night! The music is amazing and appeals to all ages. Yes, even people as old as me......

"The Caithness Big Band and friends invite orgers to "Night to Remember", the fifth grand charity fundraiser where they remember the band's founder and driving force Jim Marshall. It will be held from 8.00 pm 'til late on Friday 12 November at the Weigh Inn Hotel in Thurso.

Featured will be The Caithness Big Band, North Coast Jazz Band, Sunday Night Band and the After Hours Rhythm and Blues Review.

There will be tunes through the evening from the golden ages of Swing, Bop, Rock and Roll, Blues and Jazz. Dance the night away or just enjoy live music played with enthusiasm and style.

This always successful event has raised many thousands of pounds for charity, this year the bands are supporting :- Cancer Research UK, MacMillan Nurses, Maggies Cancer Care Unit at Raigmore Hospital and a new local resource, the North Highland Cancer Information and Support Centre.

Tickets have been held at £5 and are available from the Cancer Research Shop and Newsbeat, Princes Street Thurso."

Yet another great night with the Caithness Big Band, North Coast Jazz Band, the Sunday Band and After Hours R & B Review!

Great music and great banter and so sorry I had to go home before the end. Loved watching all the different kinds dancing and it was good to see all age groups there.

And I won a Cabernet Shiraz in the raffle!
