Saw the first one today, in the front garden quite happily pecking about with two blackbirds.

    Default Wax Wing

Mrs M was excited to tell me of a large amount of very pretty birds with a tuft on the top of the head and colorful plumage that she spotted in our back yard..

They were feeding on some rose-hips off a dog rose and came and left very quickly, she estimated about 50 to 75 and when I went through the bird identifier on the RSPB website, it would appear they could have been.
