Little Stint?

It's been bugging me ever since I saw this bird at Brough Harbour earlier in the week smaller that a Dunlin or a Sanderling but with similar colouring to the latter although the back feathers seemed more marked.
Not sure how prevelant they are at this time of year and I know how easy it is to confuse waders,was the size that made me have a long hard look and they don't all line up by species which would make life alot easier!
Did n't get the chance for a picture as the seals were hauling out and it flew off.

That looks like it, thanks for posting the photo nirofo, it was the small size that had me pondering.
Will put that down as a possible sighting!
