    Question Water &Gas Connection Charges

Hi, Im Wondering If Anyone Can Help Me!

Im Trying To Find Out How Much It Would Be To Get Gas & Water Connected?

Also How Much An External Gas Tank Would Cost?

Any Help Would Be Greatly Appreciated!

    Thanks, Janice

You do not give ehough information for anyone to give costs.

Your best move would be to contact
    Scottish Gas
    Scottish Water
A company that supplies tank gas like Calor

Costs will depend on where you live and how far pipes etc have to be laid and then connected.

There may be places where the utility companies will not connect for one reason or another. Scottish Water for example will not supply in certain areas if the mains will be overloaded as they cannot maintain pressure if there are too many connections. They will soon tell you if a new property falls into this category.

Some folk may be able to say what it cost them for each of the above but it may not be the same costs that you will incur especially if there are distances involved.

You should maybe also consider telephone connections also if you are moving to a rural location. Some connections can be expensive - again due to distance from the lines. Also remember broadband may be poor or non-existant depending on location.

Companies may not give you a price without visiting the place first to assess what is required.

    Good Luck with your enquiries.

If you are out in the sticks when you do get an estimate you can reduce the cost by digging the trenches yourself - but as bill says get in touch with them first - can vary between free (going from next door to yours) to thousands.
