hiya! this is from delia smiths christmas book;
2 x 75cl bottles of full-bodied red winw
2 1/2 pints water
1 orange stuck with cloves
2 oranges,sliced
2 lemons,sliced
6 tablespoons sugar or honey
2 inch piece of cinnamon stick
2 teaspoons ginger(freshly grated or dried is fine)
2 tablespoons of fruit liqueur such as cointreau or cherry brandy
put all ingredients in a saucepan heat to simmering point stirring to dissolve the sugar.keep at barely simmering point for 20 mins.thats it ready to serve! u can let it go cold and reheat it later if u want! enjoy!
