    Default New Laptop

    Hi All,

I'm looking for a new laptop spending up to £500.

    Does anyone have any recommendations?

I know hard drive and RAM but I'm confused with all the different processor types.

I understand 2.6GHZ is better than 1.8GHZ but what is the differences in the likes of,

    i3, i5, i7
    Intel Pentium
    Intel Pentium Core Duo
    Intel Celeron
    AMD Turion 2 dual core
    AMD Athlon

I'm not really interested in gaming or blu ray as I have my ps3 for that.

    Thanks,
    Mr_A

There some laptops in pc world and currys that have 8 hr battery life? It must be really handy to have a laptop with that kind of battery life.
If your not gaming with the laptop and just using it for internet and email and word really any laptop will do ?

A friend bought this Acer Aspire lappy from Ebuyer for £380 with free delivery, about 4 months ago. She hasn't stop crowing about it since! Must admit the specs are, for the price, pretty good.
