Caithness Moths - Brown-line Bright-eye
In Caithness, Brown-line Bright-eye is a late summer moth, the adult emerging in mid-July and with us through August. It is not uncommon but generally seen in only small numbers. It is found in a wide range of habitats as the larvae feed on a variety of grasses. It over winters as a small larva, low down in vegetation and pupates in an underground cocoon.
