    Default Caithness Moths - Poplar Hawk-moth



    Set up the Skinner trap for the first time since we moved back in to Thurso. After two hours had caught just three moths (two Poplar Hawks and a Beautiful Golden Y) too much light pollution in town maybe?

    It may not the light pollution, as this is the only species attracted to our outside light so far this year. Last year at this time we were getting into double figure numbers of species.
