Default Good day for sea watchers.

Good day around the Caithness coast with Risso's Dolphins visible in Thurso Bay with the best view from Holborn Head, Risso's also seen by the John O'Groats Ferry off the coast of Groats heading towards Duncansby Head, Minke Whales seen at Thurso Bay and Lybster.
And Harbour Porpoise in double figures in Thurso Bay this evening along with more Risso's Dolphins.
Pics from Holborn Head this morning one showing Mum with her new born.

    A smile for the camera

Fantastic Colin, I spend my life just missing seeing whales and dolphins and you get great pics! Ho Hum. I'll persevere.

    Thumbs up Cheers Seabird

They sure are superb photos. The little ones face is amazing.

On Seabirds advice I got myself out to Holborn Head in the evening, after seeing a group of Rissos breaching near Murkel point. One Risso did come by and I managed to get a photo.

A Minke whale in Dunnet bay this evening and 6 Porpoise in Thurso Bay. Rissos were also spotted this afternoon off Holborn Head.
