Caithness Moths - Peace Blossom
Historically the stunning Peach Blossom was described as being present in Caithness only in a wood near Wick and at Berriedale. This one is the first record since 1975 and was caught at Berridale. It is on the wing from late May to late July having over wintered as a pupa in a cocoon on the soil surface of just below it. The larvae feed on brambles.
