I was going past the airport today and lorries from the stunt show where parked at the back of the commisioners depot and the police where there to. The only reason the lorries would be there is if they not road legal.

My husband and son are just back from Wick and were speaking to someone who said the lorries were not roadworthy and were impounded by the commisioners.

    Default show cancelled

It's not just the show vehicles that have been sent to the MOT centre. Police have ordered tractors, trailers and taxis to the centre. the traffic commisioners have been very busy, and many vehicles have been put off the road. even council vehicles have been stopped, also a digger, and they have all been sent to the centre at the airport for testing.
The unemployment department have also been at the taxis parked at somerfield.

Could the same check have been going on in Thurso yesterday, early afternoon?

I went up past the College and there were a lot of vehicles - taxi, tractor, van etc pulled in to both sides of the bus turning area between the College and the High School. Men in high vis jackets there too.

Another reason for impounding vehicles is if they are using Red Diesel.

This seems to be the case with a lot of the vehicles at the transport centre
